The Doctor made a point of reading this one aloud to Sam.
“I was looking for a way to put something along those lines into words. I think this suffices.” He said, crossing his arms. The two of them were alone in the console room, Sam didn’t respond.
“Sam you need to apologize to him. You’re being quite childish.”
“Alright,” Sam answered
“Now listen- Wait what?”
Sam had a little smile at the Doctor “I said okay. I’ll say sorry.” He got up and left to go to The Doctor and Spencer’s room.
He knocked on the door and walked in. “Hey.”
“You know walking in before waiting for a response kind of defeats the purpose of knocking,” Spencer said, looking up from the couch he was reading at, and then looking back down at his book.
Sam walked over to Spencer and sat down next to him on the couch.
“I think we need to talk.” Sam said.
“What’s there to talk about?” Spencer answered coolly, not bothering to glance up this time.
Sam sighed. “Look, Spence, I came here to apologize.”
Spencer made a noise that sounded suspiciously like a snort.
“I get it; I crossed a line I shouldn’t have.” He said “I was pissed, okay? I was kind of in shock. Because I realized there was almost no chance you were wrong. I said things I shouldn’t have and I’m sorry. I shouldn’t let a friendship get ruined over me being an idiot.”
“You realize it’s going to be a while before I completely forgive you.” Spencer said.
“Completely?”
“I appreciate the apology and I do believe you mean it but I’m still angry with you Sam.” Spencer shut the book and looked Sam in the eye. “That’s an extremely sore nerve you pressed. I wouldn’t easily forgive members of my team if they said something about that, let alone someone I’ve only known a few months.”
“That’s fair.” Sam said.
“But nonetheless, I promise I won’t punch you in the face again,” Spencer said, with a slight smirk pushing on the edge of his mouth. “Though I did a pretty good job.”
“Yeah seriously,” Sam laughed, “Didn’t know you had it in you.”
They walked out of the room to go back to the console room. Meanwhile, Patrick and Sherlock were on their way to the library for a game of chess to settle a bet and saw them.
“Oh look who finally decided to kiss and make up.” Patrick said,
“Good. Their arguments were getting aggravating.” Sherlock replied
